Camp Activities

Jameson Ranch Camps & Retreats offers an amazing range of camp activities for all our campers.
From exploratory free time to planned programming, our staff is always there to help facilitate a fun and safe experience for all.

You can ride a horse, whatever your skill level!

We have horses for beginners(click means go, whoa means stop) through advanced level riding.

You can take a lesson from a trained instructor in the arena, play games on horseback, or take a guided trail ride into the Sierras.

Stocked with bass and catfish our lake is ready for hours of fishing enjoyment.

Bring your own poles and gear or use one of ours. No licence required when your fishing our private lake.

Try your luck at catching the legendary giant catfish, Walter.

Our waterfront activities include:

You can relax and paddle around our lake enjoying the scenery and serenity.   Kayaks, Canoes, and Paddle Boards also provide fun, games, and races with our certified instructors. Team up or go solo.

Our sailboats are Suncatchers and teach the basic skills—enjoy when the breezes blow.

Rope Swing

Rope-swinging is a highly developed activity at JRC. Campers have creatively invented numerous ways to swing off the rope.  Try an around the world or a toe-skimmer.
Some can even do back flips off the rope.

Just looking for a nice refreshing plunge to cool of from the summer heat?
Stop by our pool to swim, splash, sunbathe, and relax.

Archery and Riflery

Our archery program is geared for all skill levels.  At the range you can receive instruction using recurve or compound bows.  It is great fun to challenge yourself and find success with target practice.

For even more of an adventure, we have developed a 2 mile walking trail with archery targets positioned at varying distances.

Come learn to be a crack shot at our rifle range. Whether you want to learn to be Annie Oakley, or Doc Holiday, there is a place for you. Start with our safety orientation then head on over to our range where you'll get the opportunity to shoot a .22 caliber rifle under the
supervision of our skilled staff.

Riflery is for all persons age 10 years and up.

Bikes and Boards

Whether biking or boarding, take an off-road adventure through the oaks and pines of southern California's Sequoia National Forest. With miles of trails on-site and off, you will be able to find challenges and excitement no matter what your skill level.

Strap on a helmet and some pads, grab a board, and get ready to experience the thrill of mountain boarding. Equipped with a hand brake you, the rider, get to control the speed at which the world passes you by.

Use any of the bikes and boards that we have or feel free to bring your own.

Our crafts barn is stocked and ready for your imagination to bring it all together.

Duct tape wallets, tye dye t-shirts, and friendship braclets are just a few of the many crafts available here at Jameson Ranch.

Depending on staffing and condition of equipment;
